Progression and World Map


I am currently working on making the game have some real gameplay, to connect the game elements and make the player work towards an actual goal.

I’ve implemented a basic world map to make it easy to track your progress, and to not clutter up the hub area with random portals:

Overworld Map

Once you clean up one dungeon, the next one will be available. This map will gradually be expanded with new content.

For now my plan is to have a couple tutorial dungeons to explain the gameplay elements and abilities to the player, one by one. To do this, you now start with only the basic attack ability and unlock new ones as you play.

Ability Unlock by walking on a region

I will tie this to some new dungeons, so that when you complete one you also unlock your next skill. There will be special rooms in these dungeons in which you can test out your new tools.

The next update will be about this new gameplay base.
